I forgot about the dub
Flow Festival last weekend was pretty spectacular once again. We put in a lot of work over the last 9 months to make it happen and want to thank all artists and visitors who came from far and wide to make the weekend the experience it was.
Instead of posting backstage photos of Diplo’s Russian models I just wanted to link some of my favorite shots from the Flow Flickr and Samu Hintsa’s collection.

And one more Youtube before I’m out, this is from one of the outdoor bars from late Sunday night and is just another proof of how much Helsinki loves We Can’t Fly… DJ Tane Lee and DJ 3rrd in the mix.

DJ Anonymous: Disco #5 (download here)
Here’s the new disco mix as promised, It’s been sitting here waiting for a while but I just had to get the blog done first. #5 is a continuation of the series that started with #1 back in 2003, but expands just a little bit stylistically and covers a few different subgenres from the mid-70’s all the way to the 90’s… Enjoy!!!

A special “thank you!” goes to Mika in Stockholm, Danny in Berlin, Eli in New York and Pirkka here in HKI. Also to Pablo for the great cover!
Yeah man, it’s been a while. I guess I was just stuck with real world business I had to take care of and the hassle with my old platform didn’t help at all.
Since I went on my little blogging hiatus I’ve been working on three festivals, organized parties for the Expo 2010 in Shanghai and dj’d a lot as well. I also recorded a new disco mix and bought and sold a DJ collection of almost 4000 12″s from between ‘77 and ‘92 (yes, I did keep stuff).
Anyway, after this weekend the festival season is over, the blog redesign is done and updates will be back to normal. I promise. Thanks to Heikki, Joscha and Antti Hiljá for their help with the blog.
Just hold tight, the new mix will be posted soon.
Meanwhile, here’s a little treat I can’t recommend enough. It’s hard to improve on the original, but this manages to do just that. This kind of goes with the Walter Gibbons video below as the remix here is by Tony Smith and Danny Krivit.
Last night was pretty spectacular. After the Flow Festival opening concert we played our little after party with Bottin from Venice and after that there was another after party with James Murphy, Pat Mahoney & crew playing house. Good times.
This here is the jam and is out right now on red vinyl, just grab it if you see it.
Pretty amazing (via Old School Tapes):
