Midsummer Party Mix #3

Damn I can't believe I made it and in time for the festivities too. Life's been hectic but here it is, the annual Midsummer Party Mix in all of it's 106 minute glory. Musically this is on the disco side of things and features a bunch of songs I've been playing A LOT over the last couple of months. No quickmixing this time (except for the short Imagination doubles), mostly I just let the songs ride all the way.

My Scandinavian brethren, have a good time next weekend and be safe. The rest of you can enjoy this all summer...

New wave covers

New wave covers of soul classics.. you gotta love em! The Flying Lizards and The Slits are old faves, but the Paul Haig and Ronny versions I only found out about recently. This post was inspired by last nights corporate gig where "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" just killed it.

The Slits: I Heard It Through The Grapevine
The Flying Lizards: Move On Up
Paul Haig: Running Away
Ronny: If You Want Me To Stay
